For Shame: Sent to The Guardian

 To The Guardian:

The episode "Inside Iran as the bombs fall" was one of the most misleading and factually nonsensical to which I've listened.

Your "peace activist" made it sound as if the United States and Israel were repeatedly violating international law by targeting civilians, which we all know is not true; they are both targeting Iran's illicit nuclear and missile facilities along with the terrorist IRCG and police who murdered 30,000 Iranian civilians in a matter of days. Not one mention was made of the fact that almost all of Iran's missiles have been aimed at civilians, in blatant violation of international law, as well as using cluster bombs against civilians.

She also offhandedly referred to Israel committing genocide, which says more about the way the ICC has become a tool of the worst elements in the world, including Iran, than about Israel, yet there was no pushback against that specious slander.

The Guardian long ago abandoned any pretense at real journalism and the pursuit of educating readers and listeners in favor of itself being a tool of the world's worst actors.

Danziger Cartoon Inverts Reality

Dear Editor: The recent Danziger cartoon, distortingly captioned "Some Israeli Hostages Are Home After Over a Year of Merciless War," blatantly and irresponsibly inverts reality both with its caption and the text "Over 40 thousand Palestinians killed ...." The caption should read "A tiny number of innocent Israeli Hostages Are Home, along with hundreds of Palestinian Arab terrorists, After Over a Year of Merciless War started by Hamas with its barbaric pogrom on October 7, 2024." The text should read "The Hamas terrorists claim over 40 thousand Palestinians killed, but fail to mention roughly half of them were terrorists, making the proportion of civilian casualties in Gaza historically low thanks to the unprecedented steps taken by the Israeli military, arguably the most moral in the world." Finally, a new idea

Sent to the Boston Globe February 6: Dear Editor: I've read a lot of criticism of the latest American proposal for Gaza, but I have yet to read about any of the critics proposing anything that isn't essentially a rehash of what's been tried and failed disastrously time after time.
